ROBERT CURGENVEN
Working with harmonics, textures and resonance as articulated not only through instruments/objects, in space and place, but also in time and the dislocation of the remote, Curgenven's sound explores slowly shifting layers in the fabric of fields of perception.

He has performed and presented live, electronic and improvised music at events throughout Australia and Europe, including Transmediale (Berlin), DNK (Amsterdam), tag (Den Haag), Gallery for Contemporary Art (Leipzig), garage (Stralsund), C/O Pop (Koln), Art Land Culture (Alice Springs), Darwin Festival, the NOW now (Sydney), Adelaide Fringe Festival, Electrofringe Festival (Newcastle), Tura New Music Festival (Perth). He has toured Australia, Europe and Japan, including Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, London, Paris, Brussels, Frankfurt, Dresden, Hamburg, Gihu, Nagano and Tokyo.

He has performed duos with Jason Kahn (Sirr, Cut), KK Null (Touch, Blossoming Noise), Sumugan Sivanesan (Cronica Electronica), Derek Holzer (Umatic), Jim Denley (split rec)
He supported KTL (Peter Rehberg and Stephen O-Malley), Jazkamer, Rafael Toral, Richard Chartier, triPhaze (Marek Brandt), Robin Fox and Marko Ciciliani.

He has completed commissions for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Radiophonic Unit, has released two solo albums (one for privatelektro called Cichaczem) and several collaborative works, is included on the 'recorded in the fields by...' compilation by 'gruenrekorder' (2006).
