Sven Ihlenfeld was born in 1973 Pritzwalk (Germany - Prignitz)
Growing up in the province, first near a coal-heating plant and later near a shooting areal form the russian army in eastern germany. Later he moved to a quieter region in North of Germany with a lots of lakes and more silence. He played the trombone as a kid - in a youth orchester. From 1992 Ihlenfeld is living in Berlin and was playing drums in different Bands and meet there important friends and musicians.

He is the founder of Propellersound (with Tilman Schmidt) - a project and studio in Berlin.

and from 2010 he joins the Endliche Automaten / Laptoporchester Berlin

Ihlenfeld collaborating with different musicians and Bands together - like Tilman Schmidt, Art-Oliver Simon, Steffen Hübner, Paul Schwingenschlögl, triPhaze aka marek Brandt, Heiko Welker, Stephan Noé etc..

Due his extrem acoustic sourroundings of his childhood he began to work with FIELDRECORDINGS and searching for emotional and musical signs in his recordings.. working out of that his music compositions...

Ihlenfeld was study Sound at the TU Berlin and working in the context of Sound Art and Sound Installations, working on many different Studio-Projects and as Field Recorder for Movie and Theater Productions. p.e. Sound Installations: Ball of Fame (2006, Lara Brekenfeld), Herbstmusik (2005, different 8-Channel Installations) Took part at the "Static Transit" Project of Marek Brandt at the Lichtfest 2009 in Leipzig (Hauptbahnhof) and together with Jürgen Meier (Video mapping and Light) + Marek Brandt (Sound) and Rainer Rubbert (Vocalcomposition) he composed the Sound for the multimedia Installation: HOFPAUSE - in Frame of THOMANA 800 in Leipzig, Germany at the Fassade of the Thomaskirche.

Ihlenfeld was playing @ Headphone Festival 2010, Pecs, Hungary, Electric Garden Festival 2009 / Leipzig (D), Antje Öklesund / Berlin (D), Labor2, Pécs (Hungary), Reitschule, Bern (CH), Cafe Mokka, Thun (CH), Alte Kaserne Winterthur Dialog Festival (CH), Electronic Church, Berlin (D), Privatelektro Headphone Festival, Leipzig (D), Galerie fuer Zeitgenössische Kunst, Leipzig (D), Kuhturm, Leipzig (D), Joint Venture *1 / Zentrale Randlage, Berlin (D) Herbstmusik 2005 & 2006 in Berlin (D) Electric Garden Festival 2008, Leipzig (D) Musik Festival Raben Steinfeld, Schwerin (D) and much more Venues...
