Ihlenfeld

Sven Ihlenfeld was born in 1973 Pritzwalk (Germany - Prignitz)
Growing up in the province, first near a coal-heating plant and later near a shooting areal form the russian army in eastern germany. Later he moved to a quieter region in North of Germany with a lots of lakes and more silence. He played the trombone as a kid - in a youth orchester. From 1992 Ihlenfeld is living in Berlin and was playing drums in different Bands and meet there important friends and musicians.

He is the founder of Propellersound (with Tilman Schmidt) - a project and studio in Berlin.

Ihlenfeld collaborating with different musicians and Bands together - like Tilman Schmidt, Art-Oliver Simon, Steffen Hübner, Paul Schwingenschlögl, Heiko Welker, Stephan Noé etc..

Due his extrem acoustic sourroundings of his childhood he began to work with FIELDRECORDINGS and searching for emotional and musical signs in his recordings.. working out of that his music compositions...

Ihlenfeld was study Sound at the TU Berlin and working in the context of Sound Art and Sound Installations, working on many different Studio-Projects and as Field Recorder for Movie and Theater Productions. p.e. Sound Installations: Ball of Fame (2006, Lara Brekenfeld), Herbstmusik (2005, different 8-Chanel Installations)
